The tradition

Why copper?

For centuries, families in India have kept drinking water in copper vessels overnight, a custom Ayurveda calls tamra jal. COPR brings that ritual into a modern bottle you can carry anywhere.

  • Fill it at night, sip it in the morning
  • A warm, hand-hammered finish that develops its own patina
  • A reusable alternative to single-use plastic

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How do I clean my copper bottle?

Rinse with warm water and a mild soap, then let it dry fully with the cap off. To bring back the shine, rub the outside with lemon juice and a pinch of salt, rinse, and dry. Please don't put it in the dishwasher.

What can I drink from it?

Plain, room-temperature water only. Copper reacts with acidic, sugary, carbonated, hot, and dairy drinks, so keep those in another bottle.

Why is my bottle changing color?

Copper naturally oxidizes and develops a darker patina over time. That's normal. A quick lemon-and-salt clean restores the bright finish whenever you like.

Is it leak-proof?

The cap is designed to seal tightly for bags and travel. Close it firmly before tossing it in your bag.

Is it insulated?

No. COPR bottles are single-wall copper, so they won't keep drinks hot or cold like an insulated bottle.

How much does it hold?

34 oz, about 1 liter.
